Brand refresh for a Mississippi child advocacy center that reflects safety, warmth, and their four-pillar model of care.
Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center exists to walk alongside children who have experienced abuse—providing care, support, and protection in their most vulnerable moments. With a child-friendly space and a trauma-informed team, Kids Hub offers forensic interviews, family advocacy, multidisciplinary case coordination, and a mental health initiative known as the “Teddy Bear Program.” Their work ensures no child’s voice goes unheard and no case falls through the cracks.
Kids Hub had a compelling mission but an outdated brand identity that didn’t match their reputation. Their logo didn’t communicate the depth of their work, and there was no visual system to support their four core services.
We introduced a cohesive, modern brand identity that reflects Kids Hub’s role as a central hub of advocacy and protection. The redesign brings clarity, credibility, and warmth—positioning them to engage more confidently with law enforcement, partners, and families across Mississippi.
The new Kids Hub logo introduces a bold, symbolic icon inspired by the voices of children converging around a central point of care. The shapes form a pinwheel in the negative space—subtly reinforcing movement, growth, and the idea of a safe, child-centered environment.
Four abstract shapes represent the organization’s four key service areas: Heard, Supported, Protected, and Comforted.
The circular design places Kids Hub at the center, a powerful visual metaphor for their role in coordinating care.
The icon is clear, modern, and instantly recognizable—built to scale across platforms while maintaining emotional resonance.
The result is a mark that feels both professional and deeply human—trusted by partners, yet welcoming to children and families.
A bold, sans-serif logo font anchors the brand visually. For body text, we selected DM Sans—a versatile, accessible font that strikes the right balance between warmth and professionalism. The combination supports readability across print and digital environments, giving the brand a polished and people-first voice.
Simple, geometric icons mirror your new logo, reinforcing clarity, trust, and approachability. Their clean, versatile design ensures quick recognition without overpowering content.
Bold, geometric shapes add structure, organization, and youthfulness without being too playful. Thoughtfully placed, they help guide visitors through information in a way that feels intentional.
Before working with Lauren, our brand was kind of a free-for-all…you wouldn’t know our designs were all from the same organization.
Now, every single thing we do, anyone can look at it and say ‘that’s Kids Hub!’ Everything is streamlined, and everyone on our team knows the expectation.
Our new logo makes us more recognizable to the community and more legitimate to our donors. Yes, the investment can feel scary, but it also pushed us to internally think about who we are and how we want to communicate. Now we have such a better grasp on exactly who we are and our value proposition. It’s a commitment, but truly, the best commitment with such potential.”
Stationery: Letterhead, notecards, and email signatures to reinforce the brand in daily communication
PowerPoint and Word templates for internal use and partner presentations
Social media graphics with versions for each service area
Program one-pager that present their core services in a friendly, professional tone
To bring the brand to life across materials, we created a full set of flexible, on-brand templates:
Now, whether Kids Hub is speaking to law enforcement, community partners, or a caregiver in crisis, their materials are consistent, accessible, and aligned with their mission.
As part of Kids Hub’s Brand Level-Up, we refreshed their website to match the clarity and confidence of their new visual identity. We simplified the site map and user experience, migrated the site from Weebly to Squarespace, and applied the updated brand styles across every page so the site finally felt as strong as their work happening behind the scenes.
The new Squarespace website is much easier for the team to use. Within weeks, Kids Hub launched a brand-new online resource library that’s already driving more traffic and better serving families in their community. Updating content is now quick and intuitive, plus they’re getting loads of compliments on their new look!
Lauren’s process was so easy and efficient. It was easy to communicate, I always knew exactly what she needed from us at each step, but I also had the freedom to make suggestions along the way.
I thought it would be much more time-intensive for me, but Lauren gave me all the tools I needed to get feedback from our team, and it was way easier than I expected. Everything was so efficient and never felt like a huge lift!”
